Last year, settlers destroyed 7,500 Palestinian olive trees

Ramallah. (MaanImages/Trevor Lewis)The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian affairs reported that over 2,500 olive trees were destroyed in September 2011, and 7,500 throughout 2011. The Palestinian olive-picking season has just begun and already settlers are burning and attacking olive trees and raiding Palestinian villages. Such atrocious behaviour is simply unacceptable, and clearly un-Jewish. The core of the problem? The occupation.
