There’s no escaping it. We can argue about how and why people were dispossessed, it’s just part of our history now. What we can do is figure out how we can maintain a Jewish-democratic state while still being maximally inclusive of a Palestinian minority.

Gershom Gorenberg on StandWithUs: “The answer to slogans shouldn’t be slogans [...] Any account of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that fits in a shirt pocket isn’t worth having.” This is where hasbara becomes deficient and is undermining the ability of Jewish students to learn about their identities, and Israel.

David Southwick and the Liberals are now appearing at Q Society events that further the fringe grou’s anti-multicultural and anti-Islam agenda. It’s very dangerous to see them forming a coalition with these neo-fascist bigots that will only do detriment to the cause and standing of the Jewish community.
